Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 17, 2026
1. Who operates Clearset
Clearset is the public name of a fitness and nutrition app operated by an individual based in California. For privacy questions or requests, contact clearset.support@gmail.com. Clearset is not presented as a separate corporation or other legal entity in this notice.
2. Information Clearset handles
The information depends on the features you use. Clearset may handle:
- Account information: username, password (stored as a hash), email address if supplied, account and email-verification status, and the Terms and Privacy Policy versions and acceptance time.
- Profile and wellness information: age (not date of birth), sex, height, weight and goals, fitness goals, activity and training experience, workout preferences and schedule, available equipment, dietary restrictions, injury history or movement limits, and profile name or avatar. You may add or change profile information.
- Workout and nutrition records: workout plans, completed sessions, exercises, sets and progress, weigh-ins, nutrition targets, food and meal descriptions, food entries, favorites, skips, and related plan or progress information.
- Photos and other material: a profile photo you choose may be stored in your account record. If you use meal-photo estimation, the photo is sent to Google's Gemini service for analysis and is kept with the temporary estimate record so the review can be displayed or refined. The current meal logging flow saves structured food information, not the temporary meal photo as a food-entry image.
- AI inputs and results: meal descriptions, clarifications, meal facts and corrections; meal photos for photo estimation; and, when you request nutrition analysis or suggestions, relevant food-log summaries, nutrition targets, goals, dietary restrictions, and training context. AI results and limited request/usage records may be stored to provide the feature, prevent duplicate requests, and account for usage.
- Purchase and subscription information: app account identifiers, subscription status or entitlement information, and purchase or transaction metadata used to provide subscription features. Apple or Google processes store purchases; RevenueCat processes subscription and entitlement information. Clearset does not receive full payment-card details through the app.
- Support and email information: the email address and message contents you send to support, and email addresses and short-lived verification or password-reset codes used to secure accounts. The public account-deletion page opens an email request to clearset.support@gmail.com, a Gmail mailbox; Google processes those messages as an email service provider.
- Device and technical information: app, operating-system, and device details; crash or error diagnostics when Sentry is enabled; and server request route, response status, and timing information. For routes not marked sensitive, server logs may also include JSON response data; successful log lines are shortened, while error responses may be longer. The exact diagnostic fields and retention settings are not available from app code alone.
- Guest plan preview: before account creation, onboarding answers can be stored with a generated plan preview using a random token lookup. This can include age and profile or wellness information. A preview is available for seven days; the underlying record may remain until operational cleanup runs.
Clearset does not ask for a date of birth or government identity document. Age is self-reported and the app currently requires an entered age from 18 through 100 for onboarding and profile updates.
3. How information is used
Clearset uses information to create and manage your account; generate and personalize workout plans and nutrition targets; record workouts, food, and progress; provide meal estimates, nutrition insights, and suggestions you request; manage subscriptions; send verification or password-reset emails; respond to support requests; protect the service; diagnose errors; and meet legal obligations. We do not use workout or nutrition information to provide medical diagnosis or treatment.
4. AI features and service providers
AI features involve processing by providers; using those features is not “no sharing.” Clearset routes requests through Replit's AI integration to the model provider used for that feature:
- Google Gemini receives meal photos and related meal descriptions or corrections for photo-based meal estimation.
- Anthropic Claude receives text meal descriptions, food-search or estimate requests, and the relevant account context needed for nutrition analysis or meal suggestions.
- Replit provides application hosting, managed database services, object storage, and AI integration infrastructure. The current app code uses the database for account and app records; object storage is used for public exercise demonstration images, not profile-photo uploads.
- Resend is used to send account-verification and password-reset emails through the configured connection.
- Google Gmail receives messages sent to clearset.support@gmail.com, including support and account-deletion requests. The mailbox's forwarding, security, and retention settings have not been independently verified.
- RevenueCat processes subscription identifiers, purchase metadata, and entitlement status.
- Sentry may receive crash and error diagnostics when its client or server configuration is enabled.
- Apple App Store and Google Play process app distribution and purchases made through their stores.
These providers process information to deliver their services, under the terms and settings applicable to the relevant account and integration. App code does not establish the provider account's data-region, log-retention, deletion, or model-training settings. Clearset has not independently confirmed whether the configured Gemini or Anthropic account is subject to a particular retention or training setting. We therefore do not promise that provider requests are never retained or used for provider purposes. Avoid including sensitive details that are not needed for the feature.
The repository review found no advertising network or cross-app advertising tracking code. Store-console declarations, provider dashboards, and release-build behavior still need confirmation before store submission.
5. Where information is processed
Clearset is operated from California. Its hosting and service providers may process information in the United States or other countries, depending on their infrastructure and account settings. The exact database region, backup schedule, and some vendor locations have not been confirmed. Laws in those places may differ from the laws where you live.
6. Retention
Account and activity information remains in Clearset's primary database while your account is active, unless you remove it or it is no longer needed for the feature. When you delete your account, Clearset deletes the account and associated application records from the primary database, including workout, nutrition, profile, and account-linked AI records. Guest preview records are separate and may remain until their expiry and cleanup process. Device copies, provider records, store transaction records, server logs, and backups may persist under separate operational or legal retention rules. Exact vendor and backup periods have not been verified.
Meal-estimate review records, including any meal photo retained to support review or refinement, have a 24-hour application expiry. Cleanup runs as part of later AI requests, so expiry does not guarantee immediate physical deletion at that exact time. AI request retry records also expire; server cleanup, provider logs, and backups may last longer. Email verification codes expire after 30 minutes and password-reset codes after 15 minutes. Information stored on your device, such as a local onboarding draft or offline app data, may remain until cleared from the app or device.
7. Account deletion and privacy requests
You can delete your account in the app from Profile. The in-app deletion flow asks you to confirm with your current password. You can also request deletion without the app by visiting https://clearsetfitness.com/account-deletion and emailing clearset.support@gmail.com. We may ask for information reasonably needed to verify a request; do not send your password or verification codes. A web request starts a support process and does not instantly delete the account. After verification, Clearset deletes the account and associated application records from the primary database. Guest-preview records, provider records, store transaction records, server logs, and backups may remain under separate operational or legal retention periods. Deleting the Clearset account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. You may also contact clearset.support@gmail.com to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, or to ask a question about how it is used. We will handle requests and any applicable rights within the time and limits required by the law that applies to you.
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information; to object to or restrict certain processing; to withdraw consent; to opt out of certain sales, sharing, or targeted advertising; to appeal a decision; or to complain to a regulator. California residents may have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended, if Clearset is subject to that law. Clearset does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are used by California law, based on the current application implementation. Clearset does not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.
8. Security
Clearset uses measures intended to protect information, including password hashing, authenticated access, and access controls. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and Clearset cannot promise that unauthorized access will never occur. Exact hosting encryption, backup, and diagnostic-provider settings should be confirmed in the relevant service accounts.
9. Children and age eligibility
Clearset is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. Do not create an account or use the app if you are under 18. The age entry is self-reported and is not independently verified. If you believe a person under 18 has created an account, contact clearset.support@gmail.com so the account can be reviewed.
10. Changes to this notice
We will post the current Privacy Policy at this URL with its effective date and version. For material changes, we will provide additional notice through the app or to contact details on file when required by applicable law or appropriate to the change. If a change requires renewed consent, we will request it before relying on that consent.
